In order to fully challenge the stigma against childhood sexual abuse and in order to improve the support survivors receive from front line service staff, Talk Now will provide comprehensive training packages specifically designed for staff within key social service providers.

This training will focus on developing the neccessary skills and appropriate practice methods when engaging with survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

The aim of the training is to help workers feel more confident, competent and aware when working with adults who disclose sexual abuse. This will ensure that individuals receive an appropriate response after disclosing childhood sexual abuse as it is vital that they be referred to appropriate services to get them started on the first steps to overcoming the detrimental effect such abuse can have.
